It must be pointed out that my copy is a reprint and not an original. Some of the photographs are not quite as well rendered as in the original, and the binding is of a cheaper type; time will tell how durable this proves.
As to the content: I already have the BMC book in this series. By comparison, this is not quite as good, possibly beacause there is less information out there about Rootes than there is about BMC. The general chapters covering the history of the group are the most interesting and certainly taught me things that I didn't know. The descriptions of the individual models are short on detail, and possibly won't add much if anything to the enthusiast's knowledge.
Overall though, it's a good book both to read right through or to dip into when you've 5 minutes to spare, and a worthwhile addition to any classic enthusiast's bookshelf.
