5.0 out of 5 stars A gey uisfu wee book o grammar, 23 May 2007
By
A clearly laid-out, fun book for the beginner in Scots, and a useful reference book for anyone wanting to polish up grammar or usage.Mind you, you need to be familiar with the grammatical terms used in Standard English or Standard Scots eg nouns, conjugate, etc.

Any chance of a similar book specifically for adults ?

5.0 out of 5 stars why do they speak funny in Scotland?, 6 Nov 2010
By
This review is from: Grammar Broonie: A Guide Tae Scots Grammar (Scots Language Dictionaries) (Paperback)
This is a smashing book for anyone moving to settle north of the border. It is presented in a fun and light hearted way, but has authority as well. So if you find the way Scottish folk speak confusing, this wee book will explain why - it will still be confusing, but you willna worry tha sen sae gae. Fun book, with serious content, and enjoyable to use.
