This is the wisest and clearest book written on environmental law I have read. It focuses on the root cause of environmental destruction and shows us that by becoming more earth centric within law (i.e. we are not at the centre of the universe but are part of a greater system that includes the earth) we can integrate human behaviour into the ecosystem and have a healthier planet and therefore a healthier humanity since we are part of the whole and not separate form the Earths environment.

A very interesting read. A must for any environmentalist. It has great ideas which do not fit into the current way in which humans inhabit the Earth, but you cannot help but agree with a lot of it and think that perhaps we should adopt some of the views written in this book. of course, this will not happen in my lifetime as greed and basic human processes will never allow it.

A friend of mine recommended this and even though I am not a lawyer, I found the writing to be clear and deeply insightful. I would also recommend Polly Higgins' new book Earth is Our Business
