An excellent summary of the person-centred approach, with enough detail to enable a very thorough understanding of the subject without being overwhelmed.

An absolute god-send for those struggling to remember the 6 necessary and sufficient conditions and other Rogerian need-to-know's; Especially useful at level 3 and Diploma - and it's written by a very nice chap too! :)

It reminds me of the summary books you could get when taking English exams, but better. Essential detail in a nutshell. Easy to read, so much detail - well impressed. Bought to help at Certificate level.

After feeling a little lost & out of my depth reading some of the other books on Person-centred Counselling, this is a great little book that introduces the theory, with a little background & full explanation as to the meanings of the language found in other books.

This book is very well written, easy to read & also offers insight & points those on Diploma level or above in the right direction as to what to look into further.

Would recommend this book to anyone wanting to embark on a Diploma level Counselling/Psychotherapy course

A well written book, with a clear style and packed with useful information. I found that it complemented other books \I have very well, filling in gaps and answering questions that I had not easily found answers to in larger tomes.

This is a great book. It is exactly what it says - a primer in person centred counselling , so it does what it says on the label. As usual a coherent read by Pete Sanders.

The basics of person-centred counselling are all here and put across in a very readable and easy-to-understand manner. If you're learning to be a counsellor, this is a must-have. And if you're not, but want to learn how to listen to friends better, this is a must-have.
