This review is from: Ireland and the Grail (Celtic Studies Publications) (Paperback)
I believe John Carey to be three things ;1 a man of faith. 2 a true and balanced scholar and 3 not the other John Carey.... In this book Mr Carey has managed an incredible juggling act. He manages to get across the depth and subtelty of his subject without destroying the sublime magic of it's origin. He also manages to reference and acknowledge so many of the scholars who have also been on the Quest. He takes there work seriously and even when maybe not in agreement is gracious in his divergence.
I would say that this is not a book for someone just starting the journey but it is the idispensible road map for the life long and world weary Grail quester.
