I found this book an interesting read. Sad in places but profoundly moving. Faith and the personal pain within people is always a difficult subject. To be able to sit with suffering without trying to solve it is a skill you only learn by doing. Michael Kearney does this. It also testifies to the most profound amazing changes that can occur within the human spirit when it has nowhere else to go.
For anyone who is interested, or works in, the area of end of life care this book open up new insights on the area of soul pain, a good death, and how we may be able to accompany others on this journey.
