I am discovering that there are a lot of great books for those on the spiritual journey. My friend sent me this as a 'random act of kindness' and I really appreciate it! It lays out the spiritual laws in a way that makes sense and gives you ideas at the end of each one on how to introduce them into your life - or expand on them. This book can be read in one day and then kept for reference and shared with friends. A line that comes to mind from the book is "success is a journey, not a destination". We can learn to live in and appreciate the moment, look forward to the future, and gain experience from bad times and make them into opportunities.

For me "The Seven Laws" provide a practical and straightforward guide for more effective living. I found the book refreshing and practical. Although Deepak Chopra expresses his ideas in a way that makes it easy for the reader to understand, his message is not the quick fix found in so many books of this type. Our communities and our lives would certainly be richer if we all followed his advice. The inside cover says this is a book you will want to read and refer to again and again. I have found that to be true. Perhaps I just like the idea that success can come from not having to work hard.

Buy this book. Read it often, relax and have the universe deliver the goods. The ideas seem so logical and are an excellent blend of science, nature and religion.
This book was lent to me by a neighbour and I found it both a stimulating and calming influence during a stressful period of my life. Unfortunately I had to give to give it back whereby I promptly bought my own copy and lent it to my mum.
Needless to say it looks like I need to buy another copy.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success is a book that brings to light many of the ideas and principles that we all learn as we journey through life. Chopra unveils each in such a way that you begin to see these as laws that we each must live by but often do not. By acknowledging each of these laws and living our life with them as a basis, we can unburden our modern life style and become more functional. These laws can be used in one's personal life or can be used in business or organizations to create a framework for success.

As we go through life and the many changes brought by experience and age, the ideas in this book will be guiding lights with new focus for each life hurdle we encounter.
This is a book to read and re-read. It is a book to share and to give.

This book was recommended to me by a very special friend - I wouldn't normally read this type of thing and am generally a "get on with it" rather than self-help type of person. I started it thinking I'd read it all the way through but that doesn't really work. Take it gently, read and digest each law at a time and it's going to make far more sense and have far more impact. I've had it a month or so now, have skimmed it all the way through but only really got my head around law one. Once I've got that working in my life, I'll move on to the next. They do all seem like very sound advice for life generally. I don't believe they will necessarily make you successful or rich but basic things they recommend like taking time out each day just to THINK - not read, watch tv or surf facebook - and making an effort to see the good in everyone, can only make life a happier place. Enjoy it, keep it handy and take your time.

A few years ago I read PERFECT HEALTH, also by Deepok Chopra. It is a superb book that helped me regain more control over my life. Many people I know changed their diets, started meditating, and feel 2,000 percent better. THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS continues these good teachings. Once you realize that the mind does control physical and emotional happiness, and that you can learn to channel thinking and behavior for good, peace and health, the sun shines daily. Otherwise, we are constantly faced with many self-imposed, and some imposed-upon-us "stalls" that hold us back. These "stalls" are wonderfully described in "THE 2,000 PERCENT SOLUTION" by Mitchell, Coles and Metz. For example, we suffer from The Procrastination Stall (simply hoping that things will get better); The Disbelief Stall (It won't work, we do not believe in ourselves); The Tradition Stall (We've always done it this way so why change); The Bureaucratic Stall (too many excuses of other things to do); The Misconception Stall (this can't be healthy for me) and The Unattractiveness Stall (let's not work on it, it's new and may be dark and scary). Read both books to learn how to direct your mind to personal happiness and develop the skill and desire to grow as a person, and in whatever business you pursue, at 20 times the normal rate. With success comes inner and emotional happiness. With inner happiness comes greater success.

This book is packed with critical information on scientific, emotional, and spiritual levels. The exercizes are heart-healing. I've been through the book seven times and will teach it soon. My largest 2 sales happened while I was prayerfully studying this book (thanks to voice mail). It will change your life.

To all of you who know me, you know that I love this type of book but this one is the cake with the cherry on the top. It makes most of the others appear shallow in a strange way. This is short, only 111 pages but it packs a mighty punch. I found that I was reading it slowly as I didn't want it to end. It outlined in such clear terms what others have been saying on the laws of the universe and how to tap into them to receive what you need out of life. One chapter that hit me between the eyes was how we are responsible for our feelings. I knew this as an academic concept but perhaps because of the wording, I realised that if someone said something to me which upset me, then it wasn't their fault but mine for feeling the way I did. I started to see events and conversations in a different way. I accepted responsibility for my feelings in a way I had never done before and this movement from abstract understanding of an academic concept to full personal responsibility of thoughts and feeling was new and extremely powerful. Sometimes we need someone to say something in a different was for the full penny to drop into the slot and we have that ah ha moment. This book was my ah ha moment. I know that it is not a new book but I hope that you get as much out of this pocket book as I did.

If there is one, simple, short book that one can read to change his/ her life, it is this. However one needs to read it slowly, with careful absorption, and with considered reflection to relate its contents to one's own life. It offers an immense level of comfort because it proves how simplicity, ease, joy, abundance and fulfilment can co-exist in a non zero-sum paradigm
