5.0 out of 5 stars It's a map and doesn't leak, 1 Oct 2011

This review is from: The Cateran Trail: Blairgowrie - Glenshee - Alyth (Footprint Map & Guide) (Map)
I bought this map to run the Cateran 55 Ultramarathon and it did everything that was asked of it. The waterproofing on the map is great, and even when it rained or was reatedly folded, refolded and stuffed into a bag in a hurry, it didn't turn into papier-mache. If you're looking for a map of Perthshire's Cateran Trail, buy this.

Excellent product. Lot's of information and an extremely well drawn and presented map. The waterproofing is an excellent feature. If this review asks me for another word I'm going to scream!!!!

As I live in the area where the Cateran Trail is. This is a resent set walks, very much like the west highland way. The map quality is great. Waterproof and it comes with a plastic cover. You can do small sections of the walk or do a full days walk. The trail takes in some of the most spectacular country side in Scotland. Set in Perthshire who's moto is "All of Scotland" You have that. From the green low lands of the Strathmore Valley to the Glens of Isla and Glenshee. With every changing season the views are spectacular. The snow of the winter. The vast changing colour of the autumn. To the spring and summer months. I would take insect spray as midgies are a round. Blairgowrie is the biggest Town in Perthshire. Come around October and November and as you start your walk from Blairgowrie watch the salmon running across the river Ericht.
