Man and Nature: The Spiritual Crisis in Modern Man, 26 Dec 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Man and Nature: The Spiritual Crisis in Modern Man (Paperback)
This book is a timeless classic which holds up to the test of time, without the need for change with later editions. For anyone interested in the disturbing gap between man and nature and how it came to be, this book offers an illuminating and uplifting cross-cultural analysis of the modern predicament. Anyone studying or interested in the environmental field should read this book to understand why the environmental crisis is first and foremost a cultural (including spiritual) problem. After reading this book the reader should have a deeper understanding of Judaeo-Christian, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist and other philosophical-cultural world views, along with an appreciation of how they have changed over time, not always for the better.
