For anyone vaguely interested in the Zimbabwean situation, this book provides a riveting read. Mr Hill writes in a very concise, to-the-point style, and presents the reader with a fascinating synopsis of what is happening in Zimbabwe today. For those who are unfamiliar with the events that have seen this country slide from being the jewel of Africa to its current basket case status, 'Battle for Zimbabwe' succinctly describes how it all happened. The detail with which he unravels the corrupt workings of Mugabe's regime, gives the reader a glimpse into the level of research that must have gone into producing this book. As a Zimbabwean who has been more involved than most in the affairs of that country, this book's accuracy is spot on.
