I still admire him greatly for all his charity work, plus his marvellous outlook on life, but this book was a great disapointment for me. Too rambling, "name dropping" of every kind came in torrents, but the story of his life was incoherent, concentrating largely on his betting coups and...

I was delighted with the condition of this hardback edition considering it looks like a First Edition from 1989---not a mark on it; in fact it looks new! Definitely a good buy!

Sir Peter O'Sullivan was this iconic voice that attracted me to horse racing. I still admire him greatly for all his charity work, plus his marvellous outlook on life, but this book was a great disapointment for me. Too rambling, "name dropping" of every kind came in torrents, but the story of his life was incoherent, concentrating largely on his betting coups and all the exclusive restaurants he imbibed and ate in, not nearly so much on the great horses of his era. I still very much greatly admire the man, but cannot recommend this book at all.
