5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best humorous Sci/Fi books ever..., 29 Aug 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Galaxy Game (Paperback)
I first read this book some 7 years ago, and was nearly thrown off a train (obviously not whilst it was moving) for laughing so loudly. Janes has managed to cram this book with constant side splitters, as well as craft a very clever story, full of vibrant and real characters. Since reading this book the first time, I have read it once every few months, since its one of those rare books you can read again and again without getting bored. After reading this one, I rushed out and got Fission Impossible and found it to be just as good, if not better, I' Arnold, the third and currently last (Phil, write some more!!!)in the series takes a slightly more serious turn, but is also a good solid read. I recommend this book, and the two follow ups, to anyone who likes the clever humour of Terry Pratchett and the off the wall excentricity of Douglas Adams.
