5.0 out of 5 stars Love Alan Herdmans Pilates!
Alan H is the master in Pilates in the UK...forget Lynne Robinson...sorry but she bores me to tears..Alan has wit, humour and his knowledge of the human body is truly remarkable..this book and his others are a must and if you get a chance to attend a workshop of his, then go, truly worth it!

3.0 out of 5 stars It is ok
There are better books on the subject and really you have to get yourself to a regular class to get the most out of it.

This review is from: Pilates: Simple Routines for Home, Work and Travel (Busy Person's Guide) (Paperback)
This book has clear pictures and instructions. It encourages you to try and the excercises don't look too hard or technical. Good starting point for someone who is beginning to try out Pilates. Would recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pilates, 23 Aug 2010

This review is from: Pilates: Simple Routines for Home, Work and Travel (Busy Person's Guide) (Paperback)
I've never done Pilates before and I feel that, having tried most of the exercises in this book, I need to go to a Pilates class to get hands-on help just to be sure that I'm doing the exercises properly. It is much like yoga in this respect. The exercises work at a deep level in the body and I'm sure I shall use this book a lot once I've had tuition.
