This review is from: The Weight-Loss Bible: The Definitive Guide to Total Weight Loss and Well-being (Hardcover)
I read lots of books because of what I do + that is mainly weight loss help, addiction, better relationships and other stuff.

Depends on the person I'm working with and I always recommend a couple of things...

The first is a page a day diary and then some books...

This book is quite a few years old now and it's nice to browse through and see what information has stood the test of time and what information still stands out.

The G spot motivation stood out for me - maybe because my wife and all her friends are reading the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy which is quite a sexual read and are constantly laughing about Mr Grey and his antics...

Anyway, the G spot motivation is an exercise to figure out your motivations (past & previous) and to help you become aware of your harmful lifestyle habits and choose to replace them with more healing ones...

This is worth the cover price alone...

The book is full of lovely big pictures and loads of helpful information. And the book is big... This is a coffee table size book - not one to pop in the handbag.

Diet type information is constantly being updated so even when a book has just been published it will soon be out of date - however don't ever let that put you off and buy a couple of books and look for the common themes such as:
A journal
Walking
Water
Inspiring stories
Supportive people
A way of measuring food intake etc

And then begin your journey of weight loss, becoming fitter, stronger and healthier. Understand that this is a process and not an event and it becomes easier...

Including events like weight loss for weddings, holidays, birthday parties all help you focus and stay motivated...

Joanna Hall has created a really lovely book that may just be what you need to become the healthier you that you desire...

And she was the wonderful person who brought the idea of 10,000 steps daily using a pedometer to the UK... Simple stuff that is highly effective...

Just google pedometers and you will find loads of suppliers and they cost between 5 pounds and 30 pounds and might just be the best investment you ever make - apart from this book of course...

Well done Joanna (and Dan for the lovely photos)... Nice...
