5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent. My favourite of the series
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is definitely a pivotal point in the series. The first 3 books managed to get by on the novelty of Harry joining the wizarding world, coupled with the fact his life becomes under an ever increasing threat. This hasn't been exhausted, but isn't enough on its own to sustain a forth book or indeed the rest of the series. JK Rowling...

2.0 out of 5 stars A great plot but badly written!
The plot of the Triwizard Tournament is superb, ignoring the fact that Harry could have been portkeyed to Lord Voldemort at any time during Barty Crouch Junior's/Alastor 'Mad Eye' Moody's tenure as Dark Arts professor. This was by far the most exciting Harry Potter yet! It was totally addictive. Every adult should be reading it to remember what it's like to be completely absorbed in a fantastic adventure. More please!

5.0 out of 5 stars I think it is the best book in the world!, 18 Nov. 2000

This is the best book in the world because it is interesting and exciting. I also think it is great. Draco Malfoy is a little bit funny - Professor Snape is very strict. I can't wait for the next one .

Ok so this is a children's book and I'm 19 but what can I say, it's a wonderful book. I started reading HP a week ago and since then I haven't been able to put it down. Can't wait for the next book.

This book was immensely touching. I have read it three times and I've only had it since August. When the book cried, so did I. Same for laughing. Please please please write another one very soon!

this is a very good book and i would say the best out of the 4. It does get a bit frightening near the end but it is very exiting and J.K Rowling puts the things in at exactly the right time

The best Harry Potter book yet... a wonderfully entrancing plot, fantastic characters, slight sexual politics (at last...) and full of little twists. I'm counting the days until the next one.

4.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ!, 21 Aug. 2000

It's the new religion in children's literature. Start at the beginning and just go for it. I've persuaded many of my friends to read them.... and converted them to the Harry Potter Bug!
