Hard work but worth the effort,

This review is from: The Art of Sexual Ecstasy: The Path of Sacred Sexuality for Western Lovers (Paperback)
Anyone interested in Tantra should have a look at Margo`s Skydancing approach. Not the best book on the subject, but a good, gentle introduction, if incredibly long winded. Beware of the man with the beard, he crops up rather too often. By far the best of her 3 books.

A path to what the author calls "High Sex",

This review is from: The Art of Sexual Ecstasy: The Path of Sacred Sexuality for Western Lovers (Paperback)
This book is not for those who want a single week-end's solution to a sagging (sorry) sexual desire. It reads more like a 12 week course "From Intimacy to Bliss" and involves many lengthy "practice" sessions. But if you've ever felt that sex was missing something or there was another level to explore, I highly endorse this in-depth volume.

I read it once through for personal interest and have used it as a guide with my partner for working through the tantric experience of sex, sexual communication, and sexual meditation. Tells you specifically how to open up and get in touch with aspects of your body and spirit that society murders at a very early point in our existence on this planet. Tantric sex is the most intensely spiritual experience and Anand shows you how you don't have to study for years with a kundalini yogi to acheive a certain ease and expertise with it. It is written from a very personal stance rather than as a sterile clinical tome...respectful and tasteful...all the best to Margot Anand on a wonderful write!...suggest "The Care and Feeding of Your Brain" as a companion to this to tune your mind and ready it for these fabulous ways of getting in touch with your sexual spirit...Kenneth Giuffre MD, author, "The Care and Feeding of Your Brain"

This book pioneers Margo Anand's Sky Dancing Tantra techniques. While short on glossy pictures, the text is well written and there are litterly hundred of techniques that you can try on your own or as a couple. A "must have" book for serious tantrika's or beginners.

If you're looking for a book on 'how to have better sex' or to get a sexual kick out of, then this book is not for you. But, if you are in a loving relationship - or would like to be - and are committed to greater intimacy, honesty, empathy and understanding - as well as sexual ecstacy - then this IS the book for you. It's a wonderful book and Margot Arnand must be a wonderful woman to have written it. Arnand describes and explains what she calls 'High Sex' - a fusion of Tantra and other approaches - in a very practical and straightforward way. The book is designed to be worked through chapter by chapter and is beautifully illustrated. Don't despair if desire seems to have left you or you feel that you've stopped 'fancying' a once much loved partner, and don't give up whatever your age: as this book will reveal, it's never too late to realise your potential for sexual ecstacy. It's a book full of wisdom which draws on a wealth of experience and it's wonderfully empowering.
