5.0 out of 5 stars A must for any fan of the City of London and its history
Judy Pulley is a Blue Badge guide. If her book is anything to go by, I suspect her guided tours will be fascinating! The book is copiously illustrated with drawings and photographs (old and modern) and is packed with interesting snippets of information about particular streets and buildings, as well as more general comments about the history of the City.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, poorly executed
There is not a single map of the area to set the scene for the book, nor to give an idea of historical progress towards the present-day street pattern. That's an unacceptable omission for a book of this sort.

A good guide to the principal streets of the Square Mile, with some interesting period illustrations. It's a slender tome, however, given the somewhat high price.
