I am constantly looking for books on stumpwork, and this is my most recent purchase.
It is a wonderful book that contains several helpful facts and techniques on different aspects of stumpwork, but the thing that I particularly liked was the section on how to create heads. There are illustrations of different types of heads with good photos of different hairstyles and facial expressions, with fantastic directions on how to go about the process from start to finish.
I also enjoy the full colour photos of each of the projects. I especially liked the three pictures of monks in various poses.
I have found this book to be visually inspiring, and it has made me want to plan my next project as soon as possible. I recommend it for those of you who are needing technical help (although perhaps not from a beginner point of view), or just visual inspiration.
