This is a bigger than Average slab of 4 of the Simpson Comics all in one.
A 127 page omnibus version containing Simpsons Comics '11, #12 #13 and #14 and makes this a really satisfying book of The Simpsons.
This is a whole lot cheaper way to acquire some of the first books in the series for a cheap price.
This contains books
The stories are

"Fallen Flanders"
What's going on"The Kwik-e and the Dead!
"Survival of the Fattest
"Spare the Rod, Spoil the Grunt
"Give Me Merchandising or Give Me Death
"Rebel Without a Clutch"
"To Heir I$ Homer"
"Itchy and Scratchy - The Death's on You
"Nostalgia Ain't What it Used to Be"

The pay off is that it gets kids reading.

As a Teacher I'm always trying to encourage children to read especially sad to say mostly boys who see reading as un cool and sadly they often have real problems reading so viscious cirle. They fall further and further behind. The interest level goes too.

Now to comics. They look at the pictures follow the action then find that if they read the speech bubbles it makes it more interesting which leads to children valuing reading for enjoyment which can't be a bad thing.

Can it?

If you have a reluctant reader and these tend more to be boys then you can't do better than getting them a book that is 'cool' to read in front of their friends has a high interest level and is enjoyable.

This was my first Simpsons comic collection, and its still probably the best! Admittedly, the pages are coming loose in places, and the cover has taken lots of wear (could have been stronger - that goes for all of them!) but this is such a funny book. The comics don't get boring, the jokes are brilliant, and its a nice 'bright' collection - not a dark boring collection like 'The Simpsons Strike Back'. A must for the Simpsons lover!
