This book is very useful to anyone studying ballet either as a performer or as a teacher. the understanding of the dancers body is vital and this book explain things in a manner which is easy to understand. As a degree student this book has been a great help in the anatomy section of my course. It has clear illustrations and the text is easily understood

5.0 out of 5 stars The essential handbook for anatomy and dance., 26 May 2003

This review is from: Anatomy and Kinesiology for Ballet Teachers (Paperback)
As someone in the medical field responsible for teaching anatomy to dance students and experienced teachers of dance, I have to say that this book is still the essential handbook of the day - pitched at just the right level for student and teacher alike without getting caught up in too many of the details and technicalities that the rest of us medical professionals tend towards and that leave dancers cold. The brilliant aspect of the book is that it manages this degree of reader approachability without missing any of the really important details or leaving any gaping holes to fill in later.
My congratulations and thanks to the authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book for dance students!!, 2 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Anatomy and Kinesiology for Ballet Teachers (Paperback)
Without this book I would not have got through the anatomy section of my dance BTEC.
After I left college however I couldnt find it anywhere until now!
It is totally invaluable and now that I'm doing a fitness instructor course I'm sure I'll use it again and again!
If your doing a dance/fitness course this is the book that'll get you through!

This is an invaluable guide for all ballet students and professionals. Clearly written and informative, it contains information that I've been unable to find elsewhere. It's not expensive for the wealth of good advice that it provides, and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
