As a rule I don't usually buy refernce books, but after a quick flick through this one I could see that it would be worth parting with the necessary cash!
Lavishly illustrated, the Action Figure Archive is a near complete record of all the original Star Wars trilogy figures, ships and creatures ever issued. The book contains full colour pictures of each figure along with notes about it's production and the different variants made.
This makes it a must for most collectors, but it is also a fascinating read for the average fan as it has also been packed full of rare titbits of information about the trilogy itself (such as unused publicity photos and shots of scenes that were cut from the final release of all three films).
My only nitpick with the book, if there must be one, is the font that has been used for the footnotes looks as though it has come from a ten year old printer. But this is a minor quible about an otherwise excellently presented book.
At the end of the day the real fun comes from flicking through the book and pointing out a particular figure and saying "I had that one!". I wish I still did....

A bible of a book. This definitive reference book will give you an insight into collecting Star Wars Action figures, telling you whats rare and whats common. It even gives the bar code reading for the figures, indicating what production batch they were in. The whole book is full of quality glossy pictures that you will want to refer to time and time again. The written material is also very clear and conscisive. A must for any true Star Wars Action figure collector.

This book is really nice & you can't keep away from it. Surely when you collect / played with the toys. It's fairly up to date and includes also the vehicles, creatures & playsets. It also features many unseen photo's of cut scenès and very rare photo's taken on the set. Beautiful book in full color.

I bought this for the pictures of the original Star Wars figures released in the 70s and 80s but the book also focuses on and goes into detail on the 90s figures that had recently come out at the time of publishing. The information is interesting and the book is full of high quality photos of the figures and their real-life counterparts from the films, with even information on the 'Droids' and 'Ewoks' figures! This will appeal to anyone that ever owned any of the older figures and those that are interested in collecting the newer ones too.

I purchased this book primarily for the vintage action figures and it covers those exceptionally well, with detailed photographs and a few lines on each character. What was a pleasent surprise was how much I enjoyed the sections on the more recent action figures, again all very well displayed and detailed. An excellent book which I would strongly recommend.
