5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny.
A gloriously funny read. There is about one gaffe on every page of the book. There are more gaffes stated than I can remember ever having heard about or seen reported in the press. There is not too much narrative in the book- just sufficient to place each gaffe into context. A very amusing read.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK ish
The great price attracted me but I guess I was disappointed by the content. HHs comments are wonderfully witty I just thought there would be more of them. The book resides in the lounge for casual reference.

This is the greatest thing I've ever bought. Phil the Greek is a national treasure. His unintentional racism is without malice or forethought.

Prince Philip is a man after my own heart, doesn't suffer fools gladly, never afraid to say what he thinks and often getting into trouble for it. I have never been politically correct and never will be and this book appealed to my wicked sense of humour. I had heard a number of his gaffes but there were numerous gaffes I was not familiar with. The book is hilarious and hard to put down once you start reading it. A thoroughly enjoyable book. 10/10.

3.0 out of 5 stars throw spears, 27 Jan 2012
This review is from: Do You Still Throw Spears at Each Other?: 90 Years of Glorious Gaffes from the Duke (Humour) (Hardcover)
Quite a short book with only 83 pages, not as full of gaffs as i thought it would be, but i did find myself laughing out loud to some of the entries. Enjoyable, but i'm glad it was less than £4.

Tilts a the political correct idiots. An eye opener to reality and an understandable reaction from an honest chap who comes from a very singular world.

Loads and loads of outbursts from the number one clown. I never liked the old duffer before I read this but after laughing my way through it I would be happy for Great Britain to be Phil free. It's just unfortunate that so many people have been at the receiving end of that old idiots outbursts. A brilliant and funny collection.
