I thought this book was amazing! I am not sure If I have read another book more quickly. I love conspiracies theories so found it was great to have short, sharp overview of maybe a 100 different conspiracy theories. It gives you the pro's, con's and other possible reasons for the different areas. It is written with a fairly balanced view of the two sides as opposed to claiming everything we have ever been told is a lie.

As the other reviewer points out If you are looking for in-depth detail on each theory this is not the book for you. The longest any theory is addressed is only 3-4 pages so it is more a rapid quick fire review of a 100 odd conspiracy theories over any in-depth view. This is why I read it so fast, at the end of each short chapter I got sucked into the next one and couldn't put it down.

Interesting... but could be better. It simply brushes over all theories without dealing with any in depth. Still, it is good if you are interested in the subject and want to find other books which go into depth on any of the subjects in this one.

The author considers most people are sensible a many are suspicious of everything and a few are so paranoid they will believe anything and this is amply demonstrated in this book. 111 examples of conspiracy are given ,most are ludicrous but some may contain a grain of truth.
The first conspiracy is blamed on Emperor Nero who spread the rumour that Christians started the fire that devastated Rome.
Some other conspiracies noted include 9/11,the Royal Family,AIDS,Marilyn Munro,Pearl Harbour and television.
Well written with tongue in cheek and humour.
Amply demonstrates the strange world we live in.

You are actually left with more questions than answers! This book has a comprehensive list of conspiracy theories however, doesn't feel as if it goes into major depth in all of them (only well known ones 9/11 JFK etc) interesting read all the same!

According to this book, it is quite plausable that Elvis assinated J.F.K. And that Sigmund Freud came from the moon. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't mixed with more serious theories such as a 9/11 conspiracy or the shady events of Dr. David Kelly's death.
