I would agree with the previous reviewer B H Cooper. Initially I wasn't fazed by that review and went ahead and ordered anyway - there is little else out there on autism and sleep. However it is much more a technical reference than a book you would read from cover to cover. Personally I don't think it should be marketed as suitable for parents.

Unfortunately this book is of little practical value to parents of children with autism who have sleep problems. It is written in a very technical way and much of it is difficult to understand. It is most likely to be of use to researchers,

In my humble opinion, this is a very complex area to understand, and it cannot be simplified. Sleep is a huge issue in ASD and this book delivers a comprehensive understanding not achieved by other books on the issue I have read so far. Granted it isn't simply put, (and it doesn't claim to be) because the causes of sleep disorders in ASD are not simple, but with a little effort it is understandable by the average parent who wishes to remain informed. Definitely worth a look. Deserves 5 stars for leaving no stone unturned and worthy of our children.

I just finished this book and am glad that there is finally something out there to help parents finding out about their options! Sleep disorders in ASD are very often extremely difficult to deal with and this book gives an in-depth and comprehensive overview when it comes to this wide field. GPs and prediatricians are not very often well informed in my opinion, so if you want to find out more for yourself, this is a very good starting point.
