5.0 out of 5 stars I Laughed...
I laughed nearly all the way through whilst reading this book, then the book ended and the laughter stopped. That's how they reel you in you know, cheap laughter at easy to laugh at idiots then they hit you with the hard stuff and up goes the price...next thing you know you'll do anything for a laugh you end up watching "mock the week" and "eight out of ten cat's" but...

3.0 out of 5 stars Yes funny but ... kind of formulaic
made me laugh a few times.

however ... one chapter is much the same as the next one. It works better in (smaller) daily / weekly doses !

You have been warned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relentless comic genius, 1 Nov 2009

The sharpest, most erudite satire on the web becomes the most incisive comic analysis in print.

Whilst the faux news items are sublime in their finesse of exposing the hypocrisy of parliament, the press and public opinion to scathing analogical sarcasm, the horoscopes and other features are an absolute comic joy.

Easily the funniest contemporary take on current affairs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bitter, dark, sinister, puerile, angry... and hilarious, 16 Nov 2011

Bitter, dark, sinister, puerile, angry... and hilarious. All of my favourite things.

This is a compilation of short articles written for the Daily Mash web site, and as such it's probably best read in short doses rather than beginning-to-end in one sitting as it might all get a bit much. Almost all of it is satire about the news stories of the day back in 2009, just as the Labour Government were on their way out, with the MPs expenses scandal, the banking crisis in full flow, and so on- as a result this book will get less topical and more dated as time goes by, but unless you've got a memory like a seive you'll know what they're talking about. And besides, the news is mostly just repeats anyway...

1.0 out of 5 stars Yawnnnn..., 24 Mar 2011
This review is from: Everyone Dead By Teatime: A Rational, Level-headed Guide to the End of the World from The Daily Mash (Hardcover)
This is not half as funny as it thinks it is.
Low quality satire with a puerile streak. Viz serves that up and does so a thousand times better. Avoid
