I am not often one for reading these kinds of books, well I pick them up but I never get through more than a few pages but this one was so different! It has been written with so much personality, honesty and thought and I read the whole thing in 2 days! It is packed with inspiration, but not pie in the sky inspiration, real women kind of inspiration, we all know goals need to be realistic but sometimes our own lack of self confidence means our realistic goals may not be as high as they could be - this book will put paid to that! Real women talking about extraordinary achievements in the most down to earth way will make any reader take a good look at their goals and up them to the next level.

I was going to pass this on as I know plenty of women who could benefit from a book like this but nope, I'm keeping this copy and now friends birthday presents will be an easy purchase!

Nadia and Emily - you have done a fantastic job and thank you for seeing your project through!

Such an inspiring and jolly read, I keep recommending it to friends and they love it too.

It can be a tough decision to leave a job for the uncertainty of setting up your own business - I dithered about it for ages before finally making the break. And then I found this fab book just as I was starting up on my own. It's full of confidence-boosting ideas and tips, and the amazing stories of women making their dreams happen in far more difficult circumstances really helped motivate me to just get on with it, despite the nerves and initial knock-backs.

Definitely a great book for anyone thinking about changing career or starting a new business. Thanks Emily and Nadia!

This book refreshes and reaffirms why I changed to the work I love to do (I am an Acupuncturist and Clinic Director).
I recommend this book to anyone who feels stuck in a career rut and is looking realise their true dreams.
There are loads of inspirational stories of women who have got off life's treadmill and wake in the morning full of enthusiasm for their working day!

Having spoken to Nadia about her work with women I was keen to read her new book written with her colleague Emily. As a lover of shoes I wasn't sure about the title "More to life than shoes - how to kick-start your career and change your life" as it doesn't help me in my argument for buying another pair of shoes, but I love the way Nadia and Emily play with this concept and others throughout the book. The often tongue in cheek references and honesty from the authors makes the book more of a personal journey and you real do feel part of their adventure to discover what makes women happy in their careers and lives.

It was an interesting read and some of the women featured in the book are inspirational as well as helping you to see that if we want to any of us can make a drastic shift in our lives to enable us to feel more content with what we do. Possibly aimed more at younger women (well younger than me) and particularly those who have yet to find their "real thing" in life, that job, business or activity which makes them feel alive, valued and just plain happy.

I definitely recommend this book to women who feel lost and confused with no direction in life and if your miserable in your job read this book now.

If you are looking for inspiration to change your life on a number of levels this book is a great place to start. It's easy to read and feels like the author is writing it specifically for your situation. I would whole heartedly recommend this one.

I loved this book! I have literally just sat for 15 minutes to finish it, and had to review it for the girls! It is full of inspirational stories from women who have made their dreams come true, whether thats getting to the top of their profession, starting their own business or changing something they believe in. As someone who is starting my own business, this book contains a wealth of information and inspiration. You should buy it!

I loved this one. Not so much a "how to escape" but a collection of empowering stories by women who have taken the plunge, with tips for making your own leap along the way. I liked that this focused on the female perspective more than other career change books I've read and I'm buying copies for my friends as we speak!

This inspiring book is just like The Three Bears and Goldilocks: perfect in every way - not too long, not too short and just the right amount of content to get ambitious women who are still at the ''unsure'' stage on to their their personal road to success. What I enjoyed so much is the diversity of the interviews which illustrate the essential learning points of the book. I particularly loved the wonderful story of Hilary Lister, the paraplegic woman who sailed solo across the English Channel. Nothing could stop Hilary's endeavour and there are so many other stories in this great book which chronicle achievement against adversity and will inspire other readers just as it did for me. You wont be disappointed to read this book in bed before going to sleep and waking in the morning full of energy, enthusiasm and wonderful ideas!

Has not held my attention in the early part of the book but as I have it as an ebook I keep forgetting I have it. I'll get around to reading it all one day
