Fascinating book which makes Economic theory accessible.
I like the way economics helps us to take a numerical view of the world.

Kindle edition is not fit for purpose. However good the paperback, much of the key points are made in cartoon drawings with text that is too small to read on a Kindle and which cannot be expanded. Amazon problem, not the authors.

A long journey throughout the history of big events within the sector of economy. Starting before the money even existed, ending with complex economical theories and systems. It's really deep and thorough. A lots of names are stated, along with philosophies and contributions related to those names.

The explains basics of many principles or theories, like quantity theory of money, 80/20 Pareto rule, IS-LM model, fiscal policy, and so on. There is also a wide range of directions within economics, like classical economics, neo-classical economics, ecological economics, feminist economics, behavioural economics, and so on. Also explaining major events in the history, like great depression, world wars, cold war and explaining terms and phenomena like unemployement, inflation, macroeconomic model, and so on.

As a retired Economics teacher, I wanted to have an update on the latest stuff as well as a readable book. It fits the bill

A fast light-weight introduction to the topic of economics and its history. Presents key historical thoughts and the people that have influenced global economic theory.
