Very funny and insightful insight into the mind of the new Mayor of London! Can't believe I just typed that....Anyway some great quotes that both shocked and amused me in this little book....The title is apparently a quote that describes Boris from the late great Humphrey Lyttleton. A good stocking filler I think.

Loved this, had nothing whatsoever to do with the serious aspects of Boris, but is an insight to the goofier much more approachable side to a brilliant man.
Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good laugh.
A little overpriced for what is essentially a book that takes less than half an hour to get through though.

Boris is funny. He is also charming, erudite and clearly highly intelligent. His public persona has been carefully moulded to suit his eccentric tics and this book highlights all of this well. So a lot of who Boris is comes out of the page - but it is a bit of whimsey and without any real depth. Though interspersed within it are some gems that hint at a true politician and free thinker. It's hard to imagine his political colleagues or opponents managing something similar. It adorns my bathroom shelf and never fails to entertain the male visitors to the facilities.

Here at last is a book that Boris himself must chortle over! "A thinking mans idiot" is an amusing, lighthearted, appealing and occasionally insightful magazine or journalistic filler of an article str-ea-tch-ed out with delightful drawings of the charming Boris to fill up a book that is a must find in politically minded bathrooms across the nation.
In addition to the wit and wisdom of Londons (thus far) most iconic Mayor, there are opinions and passing comments, scathing observations and on occasion, witty and dry commentary on a man who presents so many conflicting facets of public persona, that the nation has for once taken a 'toff' to their hearts. An unlikely pin up, this book tells you absolutely nothing about the man, and fills up a great deal of vacant space with the squawkings of the vacuous. Some past indescretions of BoJos have been left out- and certainly not for reasons of space- and you are left with a very light and occassional amusing quote to ponder over for a veryshort space of time. Probably a good book if you are in a hurry and do not want a lot of information, or to form an impression or opinion of the man. Intangible.Boris might like it as you could possibly safely read it whist cycling- but please dont try out this theory- at least not without your helmet.

Some parts of this are very funny but the book seems to consist of a lot of padding in the form of whole pages taken up with one photo and not much in the way of sayings. For the price it's okay but I was disappointed not to find more of Boris's sayings, which are usually very funny. I would recommend this book for a quick read on holiday or waiting at airports to bring a smile to the reader's face, but it will be read in about an hour.

Husbands request for an entertaining, enlightening, humorous and well written book, to brighten a long winters day and more fun than the TV

I liked what there was in this book but it is very slim and only one quote of Boris to each page ( there are only 112 pages) - surely they could have found more than that number of humourous quotes than that! from Boris!!!!

A great review of quotes by and about the great man but... if printed together would amount to no more than half a dozen pages. Funny but disappointing for the money.

This is a brilliant, witty, ludicrous insight into a rather spectacular man.
Easy light reading yet hilarious - Strongly recommended to anyone with the faintest views on Boris whether good or bad!
