1.0 out of 5 stars Propaganda Goebbles would have been proud of
An insipid collection of unrebutted speeches and sound bites by the man who tries to be all things to all men. Well good luck america we had one of those (tony Blair) and look at the mess he left.
Only amusing part is to observe how the art of oratory has died in the last 20 years.

'Change We can Believe In' is the campaign manifesto produced by Obamas campaign team with the addition of a new foreword written by Obama himself and with 100 pages of speeches at the end. The speeches include his candidacy speech, various campaign speeches, his Presidency winning speech and inaugural address. Although this book is aimed at an American audience, as you'd expect from a campaign manifesto, it has plenty to interest a wider readership as well. It is fascinating to read about Obamas position on a variety of issues, from the war in Iraq, environmental concerns, gun control, abortion and his ideas on getting Americans more involved in their country's future. The speeches are a welcome addition and show just how good Obama is at engaging with an audience and at inspiring though his oratory. The inaugural address was particularly stirring reading. If you've read his other books ands wish to know more about where he intends to lead America (and occasionally the world), then this is the book for you. Easy to read and insightful at the same time.

1.0 out of 5 stars OBAMA-LIES, 5 Aug 2010

This review is from: Change We Can Believe In: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise (Paperback)
They should do a book called Obama Lies. It would be enough for a book bigger than this.
Also quite odd that a book called Obama Lies would have more Truth in it!

OBAMA LIES Volume 1:

Having troops out of Iraq by March 31, 2009 - LIE
Seniors Making less than 50,000 will not have to pay taxes - LIE
He said "I don't Have Lobbyists" - LIE
"I Have Always Been Against Iraq" - LIE
HE SAID HE Would not vote for any bill supporting troop funding without a firm withdrawal commitment from the Bush Administration. - LIE (He has done nothing but continue the Bush admins strategy)
I Won't Raise taxes on those making less than 250,000 per year - LIE
Guantanamo bay to be closed within a year - LIE
Unemployment rate will be 8.5% without stimulus - LIE
The ObamaCare Fee is not a new tax - LIE
Obama promised an investigation into the Bush administration regarding allegations of greenlighting illegal torture methods, and war crimes - LIE (no such investigation ever took place)

I could go on.... The biggest lie has to be
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".
