This book is a breath of fresh air for me. The standard nelson thornes textbook is confusing and badly written. This CGP book is treasure for any A-level student. I have enjoyed using it with ease. If anything, it does miss odd miniscule details such as particle annihilation/pair production energy equations.

To conclude, all text is broken down into bitesize bullet points of information.

A WORTHWHILE BUY

Really good summary of the course content and handy tips. Definitely good value as you can quickly refresh yourself on the course content within a good half an hour.

My only warning with these kinds of guides though is that they do NOT cover everything within the course so you may find some depth of knowledge or certain (small) topics missing depending on how your course was taught. These books are just an overview.

I bought this book to accompany my Nelson Thornes text book, which, in my opinion, is far too wordy. From my experience with other CGP revision guides, I had hopes that this book would display all the specification content in a student-friendly way. Now, don't get me wrong, this guide takes wordy and complex topics and breaks them down into a few easily-digestible bullet points - brilliant! However, totally contrasting to the text book, I feel that this book does not cover absolutely everything in the specification, and some topics have too little words.
I would recommend this book for anyone studying A-level Physics, however, this book should not be used alone for revision. I have found that with this revision guide as well as my text book, all the content required in my specification is covered thoroughly.

Everything you need to know is in this book.
It gives small sets of questions after each section (2 pages) and summarises everything covered.
If you got to grips with this book inside and out you'd easily be looking at a B/A grade.

Worth the buy!

The book is well written and laid out. It covers all the relevant sections required for the exam with enough detail, while still easy to take in. Would definitely recommend it.

I sent this item to Malta and my cousin found it extremely useful. Comprehensive guide to support any A Level Physics student.

This book is good to read if you have other books and good school notes to complement it but not good to rely on as I find it does not explain more mathematical calculations and questions that well with few examples.
Nevertheless, the summary questions are good to test yourself and are like model exam questions. However there are not many.

I am an A level physics teacher who also gives private tuition and recommend this to my students as a good comprehensive guide for them to be comfortable with the basic requirements of their course. I would recommend extension textbooks for Oxbridge or A* level candidates but this is an excellent basic resource.

Very helpful revision guide. It's very convenient as both AS and A2 topics are all in one book and has practice questions aswell. Can pretty much replace my entire folder

Just like most of the CGP books it is well laid out, gives you all the facts and gives you questions to practice on. Certainly has helped me out a lot!
