This took me right back to the 1947/50s. Although a bit tamer now than then. As kids who was reared through the war we loved them, they were only about sixpence (2 1/2p),they were always swapped and lasted for yonks.

Got this and a another from the same source as a stocking filler. Great for young and not so young fans of a classic genre. These books collect several stories in each edition, and aside from being a greater depth (obviously) have the same dimensions as original magazines. That being slightly shorter and wider than a DVD. The stories are all Boys Own style adventures, which do not really glorify war but definitely glorify the military. Unlike the real military, there is not serious swearing.
