2.0 out of 5 stars Highly irritating, 31 Jan 2014
This review is from: Mensa Boost Your IQ: Hundreds of Challenging Puzzles (Paperback)
This book contains 8 time-limited tests consisting of multiple choice questions although after the first couple the tests it all becomes quite repetitive. This means that on later tests you become bored but your score goes up because you've got the system worked out from the previous test.

However, as you go through the tests, you notice more and more mistakes, both in the questions and the answers. Some questions don't give you sufficient information (such as the darts test), others are typographically awkward so that you don't know which answer lines up with which letter. But the greatest wrong is that some of the answers are simply incorrect, sometimes due to a typo but, at other times, the explanation given doesn't match up to the question asked.

I did up to test 6 but found 4 of these mistakes in that quiz alone so I think I'm just going to stop now. The tests are impossible in the time because some questions are impossible to answer.

It gets two stars because I'm sure the original author got it all right but the errors are from terrible editing and typesetting.
