5.0 out of 5 stars A must read....., 2 Feb 2014
Loved this book – takes a fresh look into all things Trainspotting and comes up trumps. The Scottish writing culture of the eighties/early 90s is fully explored as is the Edinburgh drug scene and Irvine Welsh’s role in both. There are brilliant contributions from Dr Roy Robertson of the Muirhouse practice in Edinburgh and great yarns from writer Alan Warner amongst others. There is also genuine insight into the novel’s stage adaptation and how Welsh’s life evolved from an anonymous contributor to Hibs fanzines to an international celebrity. Couldn't put it down....
