Lukes is equally at home in philosophy, sociology, anthropology, political theory and psychology, and this wise, informative, and beautifully written account is a pleasure to read. Everyone working in these disciplines should treat it as a model.

The description states we're living in an "age of mass immigration, religious extremism and international terrorism." This is very similar to the language of fascist parties and movements like the BNP and EDL. It is supposed to be accepted by the reader without any explanation that this assessment is true.
It's obvious where this writer's focus is aimed. It's obvious what he thinks the solutions are. He never casts a critical eye on the anti-immigration racists that contribute to a hostile environment in society, or the imperialist wars that are the reason for the terror attacks against Western targets.
