4.0 out of 5 stars In case you wanted to know what's in this book..., 7 Sep 2013

This review is from: Wolverine (Panini Pocketbooks) (Paperback)
Panini don't seem too interested in promoting these Marvel Pocket Books for some reason; a shame, as they're really good. I wasn't clear what was in this volume when I ordered it, as the page count was too high to just include the Wolverine mini-series promised by the cover.

Now that it's arrived, I find it does have the 4-issue series by Claremont and Frank Miller, on which the latest film drew heavily, and which I've never previously read. It also includes two issues of the regular Uncanny X-Men series (172 and 173) that follow directly on; sensible enough, though they've previous been seen in the X-Men pocket book Scarlet in Glory. Finally, there's Incredible Hulk issue 181 which is Wolverine's first full appearance (he cameoed in the previous issue of Hulk, which they presumably couldn't squeeze in).
