This book is really basic. The front cover suggested to me that there would be accurate pictures inside to aid identifying different types of bugs but the pictures (very few) were cartoon-like and the text was more about where to look than what you'd actually find there and since when did anyone think a frog or a worm was a bug? Useless book - ok for a very small child to look at but not exactly informative.

A little too skimpy and basic for our needs. Had to purchase another one with more detailed information for my 6 year old grandson.

My daughter is a little young for this book, however, she loves bugs and loves to look at this book with us.

Its a nice colourful book, but the text is a bit grown up for my 6 year old, but hey he can look at the pictures and hopefully grow into the written part of the book

This was an immediate hit with the seven year old grandson of my friend. I bought this as a Christmas present and he has had lots of entertaining fun. It is also very educational in the way it encourages curiosity about the living things around them.

My niece loves bugs! I bought this with the bug pop up and magnifying glass. It's got all common bugs in it so it's great for her :-)

My kids love this book and read it nearly every night since we got it (months ago now). The book has great pictures for young kids to look at and is easy enough for young children to read. My 5 year old learnt to read it after a few days of having it and he now reads it to his sister who is 2. Very pleased I got them this book and would recommend it to anyone.

My 4 year old is doing "minibeasts" at school and we bought this book for a long train journey.
Nicely set out - overview of bugs then by habitat "bugs in water/in the air/on land/"etc. and interesting facts at the end. nice length, size and very handy. Layout proved a great model for making our own little bugs book.

I wish it had more bugs or pages in the book. It was very small and my children lost interest as it didn't contain information on common or specific bugs in the book. It was fairly cheap so you couldn't expect too much. If you're serious about learning facts on insects, get a bigger book.
