This is a collection worth taking your time over and savouring. Sit back and take in each speech on its own terms. This is a selection of some of the most life changing moments in recent history from people that have genuinely changed the world.

The book is not without criticism. I felt that Chris Abbot's agenda was sometimes a little too loud but, generally speaking, his analysis was excellent. The speeches can speak for themselves but it is absolutely worth the context provided by Chris in the book.

One word of warning, you will have your blood boiled and sense raised by the passion and drive of these speakers. If you manage to stave off tears throughout then you are either doing well or need to check your pulse.

Read this book, there are some things in life that you should know about.

21 Speeches That Shaped Our World is tied together with great insight. The preface to each speech is written with great knowledge and reminds the reader of not only the historical context but why it was chosen and how it shaped our world. The speeches selected were great choices. I thought I might be bored but it has been a pageturner. I hope you will publish a sequel.
