5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Text
Nice clearly written book, takes the reader through a structured approach to vehicle data logging, including equipment selection and use but most importantly what to do with the data once its actually logged. The temptation is always to simply print out time history for each channel, Templeman provides numerous examples of better ways to interpret the data gathered. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fairly solid basic book
It's clearly written out but maybe a bit too clearly written out. I was told I needed this book for a University module and to be honest I could have done without it as there isn't really anything I didn't already know even though I'm an electronics student.

There is also one small error in the book on page 118/119 as the axis are drawn the wrong way round but...

Nice clearly written book, takes the reader through a structured approach to vehicle data logging, including equipment selection and use but most importantly what to do with the data once its actually logged. The temptation is always to simply print out time history for each channel, Templeman provides numerous examples of better ways to interpret the data gathered. The book seems to be aimed at the amateur race teams who are looking to improve their performance the authors approach is simply explained for these guys but also gives the more plenty reader something to think about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written guide for beginners and more advanced users, 14 Jan. 2012
This review is from: The Competition Car Data Logging Manual (Speedpro) (Speedpro Series) (Paperback)
This is an interesting read, it starts incredibly basic before exploring datalogger usage to develop both car and driver, well written and informative, pretty much a must have guide for anyone wishing to increase their knowledge in this subject

There is also one small error in the book on page 118/119 as the axis are drawn the wrong way round but other than that nothing to complain about.

Should be useful for automotive/motor sport engineering students
