This volume reprints issues #1-5 of A Man Called Kev. It is a `typical' Garth Ennis story - page one is a British soldier being blown to bits by an IRA bomb, and it ends with the execution of the man who has been hunting for Kev during the course of the story, taking in Kev's escapades with Bravo Two-Four in Iraq, and the massacre of innumerable `civilian security' operatives who worked for the man hunting him. It is an excellent story, with sufficient graphic violence, swearing and sex to keep any adolescent entertained for an hour. It you enjoy Mr Ennis's work, then this is for you - and, despite Kev's past associations, there are no superheroes in sight, or even mentioned in passing. This is just about Kev and his mates, who, admittedly, do tend to die along the way.
