5.0 out of 5 stars Good looking and good to use
I have to admit that it was my addiction to great looking food porn that made me pick this book up in a shop - the cover really caught my eye with it's rich glossy chocolate bar covered in gold, and the heavy feeling when I handled it, together with the rich gold on the page edges - all was lost! I knew I had to own it!

As well as being great looking (as I think I've established by now!), the recipes are great - the white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake is worth the price of the book itself, with family and friends asking me for the recipe after trying it.

The recipes are easy to follow, are accompanied by great photos, and there is as big a range of chocolate based recipes as you could hope to find. I've got several chocolate themed cook books, but this is the one I turn to first and use the most.

If you open this book there is no longer a need for backing: simply lick the pages. The pictures and recipies are mouthwatering. With a good mix of some 300 recipies: some simple and some more complicated this is all you will ever need. With a superb (golden) finish this book is not only a great asset for any chocoholic, in kitchens and on book shelfs. It would also make a great gift and should be a wunderful inspiration to anyone.

If you love chocolate like I love chocolate, you are in for a BIG treat. This book is delicious from cover to cover and a must for all chocaholics. I love this 'golden' series with its sumptuous golden slip cover and page ends - it makes you feel like a millionaire. The chocolate millefeuille are scrumptious, choc nut cupcakes to die for, my next make might be Irish cream cake. Whether you like your chocolate to drink, indulge or wallow in, there is enough here to keep you going forever and a day. I like choc marquise, Italian ricotta cake and so much more. Over 300 recipes, that's almost one for every day of the year. Get your chocolate fix now. This review first appeared on Karen Platt's book review website.
