Chantal Coady is a chocolatier herself (Rococo). The first 30 pages of her book provide a useful short summary of the history of chocolate, the making of chocolate, chocolate styles, and how to appreciate fine chocolate. Thereafter, the book devotes one or two pages to each of the world's finest chocolate makers, both makers of bars of chocolate and specialist chocolatiers. Each entry comprises a biography of the chocolate maker followed by "tasting notes" - a list of recommended product with some additional description of taste and texture. This book is a very useful guide for anyone wanting to start tracking down the world's finest chocolates.
