3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but the "Golden Days" are gone
I bought this for both my husband and I who loved The Broons as children. Even if we both find them funny still, this year's offering is slightly below par. Still worth buying though.

For those of us not lucky enough to be able to buy the wonderfully quaint Sunday newspaper that is the Sunday Post, this is the only way to get our fix of Oor Wullie and The Broons. Although the strips are now incredibly sanitised to avoid offending the oversensitive in our politically correct world, there is still enough humour left to make for a fun few hours of innocent reading. The cartoon strips reflect a slightly different world that would be much more fun to live in and it's quite pleasant to lose yourself in it!

So sad to see my old favourites lose appear with the younger generation. These stories are funny and original and completely harmless and from an era of innocent times. I'd recommend them to anyone.

A good fun read. Took me back to my childhood comic books, but with a Scottish slant. Will introduce it to my grandchildren now. :-)
