I saw this book in one of the distilleries in Speyside. Lovely presentation and detailed description of the distilling methods and history of distillers worldwide. A good reference for those technical details - but has the author ever tasted malt whisky? His descriptions are, in all the cases where I have had experience are, totally at odds with mine. One of us needs to go back to the drawing board and I'm going to enjoy re-tasting to see if I can match David's interpretation.
