"dating can be about two people working at growing closer to God as they grow closer to each other."
I love this book. It looks at dating from a biblical perspective. The authors acknowledge that dating obviously wasn't around in biblical times but they take what the bible has to say about relationships and apply it to dating. There are references to the bible throughout the book. The authors stress the importance of being intentional, selfless and spiritually mature and supportive in a dating context. There is plenty of advice and at the end of each chapter there is 'The chat room' that encourages you to think about your own attitudes and practice on what has just been said in the last chapter, which is really helpful.
I must admit that I am not in a relationship nor ever have been but I found the book useful for forming my own ideas about how God might want me to conduct a dating relationship. It was also useful for self reflection as the book encourages you to examine whether you are the kind of person you'd want to be in a relationship with.
A relevant and very helpful book. I'm buying another copy for my Church's youth library.

This is a fantastic book for anyone, whether in a relationship or not. It uses biblical grounding to talk about all the big issues surrounding dating, and promotes a selfless and active approach to relationships.
It also discusses some of the hot topics surrounding relationships, such as sex before marriage, homosexuality, pornography, singleness, jealousy and arguments. For anyone looking for a balanced discussion on these topics, or just encouragement in their dating life then give this book a read!
