I really enjoyed this story - starts off right into the action with tourists on Mars getting caught up with the awakening of the previous inhabitants.
Really liking Tamsin as a companion so far - she's irreverent yet fiercely determined to help, and not just be palmed off `like a bimbo' as she says.
Good mix of drama, moral dilemma and humour - love the characters of Harold and Margaret - good old salt of the earth tourists; and the funny remarks scattered throughout e.g. when Tamsin protests "it was the professor with the spanner in the power room" - Cluedo anyone? Likewise the other characters in this story - they're all well cast, well played and a good mix of characters.
This story felt a lot like a Doctor Who adventure from an earlier period - where the Doctor just drops into an already developing story, people everywhere with their own ideas on what's going on, multiple motivations from everyone, a lot of running and loud noises. It was nice to be reminded of the older Doctor Who times particularly now, with the death of Elisabeth Sladen being announced - she will be sadly missed.
Great story, welcome return of old foes for the Doctor, the Doctor and his companion in fine form. Top marks for this one. Can't wait to get to the next story.
