Review, 6 Jul 2005
Just a quick few lines to say how much I have enjoyed reading Full Bacon Jacket. It really evoked the feeling of the time and was very well written from the point of view of someone who was obviously in the thick of it! It evokes many different feelings in the reader and I would like to just give my many congratulations to the author and to Athena Press for publishing the book.

Blowin' free, 13 Jul 2005
I used to shrink away from the overplayed and clapped-out old addage of "Blew me away, man!". This book totally blew me away, man! I now look over my shoulder every time I go out, just in case these characters are hanging around, and in case they ARE, then I've logged an ICE number into my mobile.
It's just one rocket ride from beginning to end, like nothing I've ever read, like nothing I've ever done; couldn't put it down - trying not to pick it up again. Get it!

Smart, sassy, exuberant - this is the best I've read in years. With characters straight from the pages of Lonesome Dove this is a breathtaking, life-changing ride.

The story of drunken disorder on an epic scale, with a cast of characters so outrageously funny/disgusting/strange/scary/just plain weird, that you will be laughing out loud at every page. The book is like no other, a complete descent into alcholic anarchy and not an apology in sight. I can't wait for the sequel (THERE HAS TO BE A SEQUEL !!!), and more of the adventures of shedfixman. Buy it and enjoy the adventure.
