5.0 out of 5 stars Law in English
Legal matters can be complicated and confusing, advice is always very expensive and often totally baffling to someone who speaks English and not Latin.

I have used this book on a number of occasions and have been able to give useful information to friends as well.

It doesn't replace legal advice from a real human of course, you can't expect too much,...

what a poor book. It is incomplete e.g no mention of wills etc It contains long lists of addresses to go to. Its main message is if you are involved with the law you need a lawyer! No attempt to advise you on legal letters, submissions and other things you might do yourself. No help with conveyencing and such property problems. The area I'm involved in (public...

No attempt to advise you on legal letters, submissions and other things you might do yourself. No help with conveyencing and such property problems. The area I'm involved in (public inquiries) is totally inadequate. It is a book that says " you are too incapable to even start thinking about detailed legal matters - leave it to us experts!".

I have used this book on a number of occasions and have been able to give useful information to friends as well.

It doesn't replace legal advice from a real human of course, you can't expect too much, but it's superb for simple legal matters or a reference point for more complicated issues.

I would definitely recommend it as a reference book to keep and use 'as and when' required, a dust collector but worth it's weight in gold when needed. Thank you Mr Mansfield.
