A book that you can keep dipping into, there are times as a parent, when we need all the help we can get, and this book has make life easier. The literacy section I found really helpful with teachers and parents tips.

Wish I had it years ago.

this book is well laid out and has some good strategies for helping children with their homework. It explains the best order for learning timestables to reminding parents some of the basics of science. A good tool for helping make homework a less stressful experience!

Great book, get ready for my boys to have a head started, as maths isn't my strong subject. Easily to read even it is a thick book. Great service from the seller too.

Even as a qualified secondary school teacher, I find helping my primary school aged children with their homework is difficult because they seem to be learning things in a different way to the way I was taught at school. This book is a really helpful guide to the basic stuff they are learning at school and it has helped me learn to speak the same language as my children. I read the whole thing all the way through but I also expect to dip back into it when relevant. It covers numeracy, literacy, science, geography, history and general tips on establishing the correct homework environment and using ICT.
