Handy resource to keep on you for reference or planning. Broken into sections e.g. attention and listening, speech sounds, vocab, grammar, social communication. It gives practical information about difficulties children may have, the impact on/from the curriculum and straightforward advice and strategies about how to help. Recommended by many Speech and Language Therapists that I know as a tool for those working in primary schools.

This was a great find - I was looking for ideas for activities to use with the children I teach in small groups (in nursery) - the book has specific, practical information and advice, and is easy to dip into and clearly written. There is, unfortunately for me, a big chunk in the middle that I cannot use because it relates to links with the National Curriculum and I work in the EYFS, but apart from that I think I am going to use this book a lot. As well as activity ideas it gives clear and helpful descriptions of different aspects of language difficulties - activities are clearly categorised according to which type of difficulty they are intended to address.
