4.0 out of 5 stars Art Therapy Exercises: Inspirational Practical ideas to stimulate the Imagination
This book is a readable introduction into the application of art therapy exercises with a brief outline of who the exercises might benefit. It's main theme invites us to explore our imaginations in a relaxed and un-interrupted way through guided visualisations which allow us to see what we would naturally see. It paints a gentle view of how art therapy can be applied...

3.0 out of 5 stars Quite simplistic & not very varied but OK for understanding the basic format of such work
I found these exercises a bit simplistic & many of them were just very minor variations on the same theme.. Was hoping For a little more inspiration for my work than this provided. However it was helpful to understand the basic premise & format for such art therapy style work

This review is from: Art Therapy Exercises: Inspirational and Practical Ideas to Stimulate the Imagination (Paperback)
This book is a readable introduction into the application of art therapy exercises with a brief outline of who the exercises might benefit. It's main theme invites us to explore our imaginations in a relaxed and un-interrupted way through guided visualisations which allow us to see what we would naturally see. It paints a gentle view of how art therapy can be applied using creative thought and creative application. It is not about finding answers or solving personal problems; it is about exploring the self through creativity in order to look at or reveal what lies beneath.

This is a handy little book that I can refer to when I'm short of ideas, and which will remind me to keep to the person-centred approach.

Good Work book, more like a diary from the author really. But good ideas to try in a work setting. No good for me as someone with no training.

It is full of ideas, I did not give it a 5 star as it is small, and i would have liked more information and exercises for the relatively high price of it.
